A Log for Reading

When I was in middle school, our regular homework assignment was to read twenty minutes a day, an assignment that was to be verified by a parent’s initial on a daily chart. It felt like an impossible task and I often succumbed to the easiness of forging their initials.  Just like piano and Chinese lessons, I should have listened to my elders. I should have made the time to practice.
